DANA AIR ADJUSTS WEEKEND FLIGHTS
Lagos, January 10, 2009
Dana Air, Nigeria’s newest carrier, has adjusted its weekend flights on the Lagos-Abuja-Lagos route as part of operational
appreciation and demands.
Speaking at a media interactive forum organized by the airline recently, Mr. Jacky Hathiramani, Chief Executive Officer of
Dana Air, explained that the weekend flights have been adjusted to 10:35hrs and 15:30hrs on the Lagos-Abuja leg, and
13:05hrs and 18:00hrs on the Abuja-Lagos leg. He however noted that the weekday flight schedule remains the same;
07:20hrs and 15:30hrs on the Lagos-Abuja leg, and 11:25hrs and 18:00hrs.
According to him, “The adjustment is in response to the demands of our growing customers who prefer that period of the
day to travel in and out of our operational base. At Dana Air, we value our customers and we will continue to look at new
and exciting ways to make their flying experience more pleasurable.”
Dana Air began scheduled operations on Monday November 10, 2008 following the award of its Air Operating Certificate
(AOC) by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority with two daily flights from Murtala Muhammed International Airport Terminal 2
(MMA2) in Lagos to the capital city of Abuja with return flights. In December 2008, the airline took delivery of a third MD83
aircraft in Miami, Florida, United States of America.
A subsidiary of Dana Group of Companies, Dana Air strives to be Nigeria’s first new world carrier, offering premium services at an affordable rate. It will provide passenger, cargo and charter services between capital cities and regional centres.
